Microsoft Closes All Loopholes Allowing Windows 11 Installation Without Internet or Microsoft Account
Microsoft has officially closed all loopholes that previously allowed users to install Windows 11 without connecting to the internet or signing in with a Microsoft account.
⭕ In an official blog post, Amanda Langowski, head of the Windows Insider Program, explained that the setup screens requiring an internet connection are now mandatory to complete the installation properly. She warned that bypassing these steps could lead to serious system issues later on.
⭕ In earlier versions, users were able to skip these requirements by entering specific commands during the installation process. This method allowed them to proceed without logging in or connecting online. However, Microsoft has gradually removed those command-line shortcuts through recent updates.
⭕ The decision has sparked wide debate across the Windows 11 Reddit community, where many users argued that the move complicates the installation process and limits user freedom.
⭕ Others, however, see it as a natural step in line with what other operating systems—such as Android and iOS—already require.
⭕ This policy change comes as Microsoft prepares to roll out a major Windows 11 update, which includes a broad range of enhancements and new features expected to reach users in the coming weeks.
